About Will Haven

Will Haven were a hardcore-influenced metal band from Sacramento, California, their self titled debut EP was released in 1996, receiving positive reviews. The band regularly played shows with mutual friends the Deftones around the Sacramento area.

1997 saw the release of El Diablo, the most notable tracks being "I've Seen My Fate" and "Ego's game". The band started to get more of a following, and were building up quite a name for themselves at this point.

In 1999 they released WHVN, which is considered by many to be the heaviest album they released. Their live shows were gaining as much of a reputation as the CDs.

In 2001 they released the critically acclaimed Carpe Diem. The single "Carpe Diem" features Chino Moreno of Deftones in the video. They went on a world tour and were gaining a reputation as one of the more promising new bands.

However, due to unspecified reasons, singer Grady Avenell left not long after this tour. They released a DVD called Foreign Films, featuring their last ever show and a wealth of footage from the last tour. The remaining members of the band went on to form Ghostride.

As of October 12, 2005 Will Haven have officially regrouped and working.

The only way they would ever do will haven again was with the original line-up. So everyone is back on board. They are right now in the process of writing new songs. They were origenally planning to do a 5 song EP and couple of B side songs, 'Sammy' included and see if there would be enough demand to continue. During the writing proces the band decided to put out a full-length instead. The band, now a five-piece with Cayle Hunter from Ghostride and Oddman fame playing guitar as well, are currently in Los Angeles to record the planned 12 new songs.

In January of 2006 the band will return on-stage with a show in Sacramento's Boardwalk on January 14. In March the band will return to the UK, doing a co-headlining tour with Crowbar. After that plans of playing on the mainland of Europe, as well as a summer tour with the Deftones and retuning to Austalia are all being worked on.
